Somtimes It Rains

I wrote this song in 1982. It was after my first major break-up and broken heart. It is now memorialized in this song. Al Asmus, alto sax, plays a soulful solo on this song. It really captures the melancholy vibe perfectly. I was in the same band with Al back in 1982. We used to do it as duo during one of our sets. So glad we had the chance to document this after so many years.

Blurring The Lines

This song is a cautionary tale of the consequences of blurring the lines between the truth and lies. We all want to believe things  that we want to hear. Snake Oil Salesman have understood this and exploited it for generations. Matt Blake added the musical saw to the intro and outro creating an eerie vibe that really embellishes the message of this song.

Like Being With You

Ever wonder what your dogs would write about you in a song? This is my attempt to explore this idea. My dogs are such a huge part of my life. Truth is, I like being with them as much, if not more, as they like being with me. Miss Myra adds some great guitar lines to this track. And Sam Skavnak's clarinet captures the happiness of all of us together.

Always Meant To Be

A tribute to my soulmate of 40 years. I am truly blessed to have her in my life. Love you Sonia! Once again, Al Asmus nails the solo on this track. He plays a alto flute for this one. The tone and depth of sound from this instrument is a rare treat.

Nothing Left To Say

A good old minor blues tribute to my favorite jazz guitarist - Kenny Burrell. Chris Lomheim nails the B3 Solo. By the way it was a bit of reunion for Chris. He was able to play his own B3 on this recording as he left it WildSound for safe keeping a few years earlier. A very happy reunion indeed!

Hope You Find The Song

I lost a dear friend many years ago. He took his own life after years of struggle with depression and other mental health issues. He was a musical mentor who taught me some of my first chords and licks on the guitar. This song is a goodbye and prayer for him.
